Accounting Analyst
Causey Demgen & Moore P.C. is looking for a full-time Accounting Analyst with 1-3 years of internal corporate accounting experience to join our team in Denver, Colorado. About the Role:
The Accounting Analyst will receive dedicated, hands-on training with Causey’s Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager to learn the intricacies of our financial operations. Through ongoing support, you will develop confidence with established processes and procedures while communicating detected areas of improvement. As a key contributor on a small team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate via internal accounting procedures with each department at Causey. The Accounting Analyst will primarily focus on supporting the Controller by contributing to the day-to-day accounting functions at Causey, including the preparation and completion of month-end closings.
Skills & Responsibilities:
Execute and maintain various internal account procedures including:
- Journal Entries and general ledger maintenance
- Accounts Payable
- Entry and Maintenance of AP invoices and files
- Manage the AP inbox
- Accounts Receivable
- Manage client payment deposits and payment applications
- Client billings
- Monthly close procedures
- Ad hoc reporting requests
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance or Business preferred but not required
- 1 – 3 years of internal corporate accounting experience
- Self-motivated team player and the ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Adequate mathematical aptitude
- Knowledge of accounting workflows and executing core accounting tasks
- Familiarity working in an accounting information system
- Proficient communication skills and the ability to prioritize duties in a high-volume environment
- Process-oriented thinker with strong attention to detail
- Robust computer literacy in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Tax Accountant
Causey Demgen & Moore P.C. has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Tax Accountant to join the team in our Denver office. As a Tax Accountant, you will learn the art of tax preparation while developing interpersonal skills in a client-facing team environment. This will include:
- Preparation of a variety of tax returns including Individuals, Trusts, Partnership, and Corporate returns.
- You will engage in tax planning and learn how to create value for clients through tax efficiency.
- Research a variety of topics for both compliance and planning options.
- Manage workflow on multiple clients and learn communication skills with client interactions, while being guided with the Causey team.
- Provide analysis of client-provided financial statements to assist in the return preparation.

Senior Tax Associate
Due to growth, Causey Demgen & Moore P.C. is looking for a full-time Senior Tax Associate with 3-5 years of public accounting experience to join our Denver team. - Prepare and evaluate a variety of intricate business and individual tax returns including S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, trusts & estates, and other entities
- Demonstrate proficiency in foreign compliance filings, multi-state, and consolidated returns
- Engage with clients to assist with tax questions, collect information, and consultation
- Assist clients with complex tax planning, projections, and other client deliverables
- Perform complex tax research to respond to tax inquiries and special projects
- Ensure compliance with state and federal tax laws and regulations, respond to inquiries from such authorities as necessary
- Provide timely, high-quality services that exceed client expectations
- Support the development and training of tax staff associates
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- B.A.; B.S. in Accounting
- Colorado CPA
- 3-5 years of technical tax experience in public accounting
- Ability to manage workload and priorities
- Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficient technical skills in accounting, tax preparation, and research
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external parties
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with ProSystem FX Tax software and related CCH Software preferred
