Assisting You With Your Assurance Needs

We recognize that audit and attest engagements are usually generated by third parties, including lenders or creditors, shareholders, bonding companies or security regulators’ requirements. Therefore, most clients view an audit as something that is imposed on them by outsiders and, in some cases, as a necessary evil.

We view audit and attest engagements as opportunities to assist our clients. It is for this reason that our principals are heavily involved in each engagement. We also believe that an audit or attest engagement should be viewed as a contribution to improved profitability and administrative practices. Our team is experienced in international and domestic assurance engagements, and we look forward to assisting you with your assurance needs.

AREAS OF PRACTICE

Public and Private Companies

In performing audits of public and private companies, our tenured auditors not only provide you with a report on your financial statements, but also encourage dialogue that can lead to positive changes in your organization. The audit process provides us an opportunity to educate your accounting staff on new pronouncements as well as methods that can assist them in performing their duties more efficiently. We also hire experienced staff so they are not being trained at the expense of our clients.

As members of the Center for Audit Quality, we subscribe to a mandatory peer review of our quality controls every three years. We have completed all of our peer reviews without qualification. The most recent of these is on record at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is available for review in our offices by any of our clients or prospective clients. When you are ready to go public, sell a business or purchase a business, we will be there to assist in all aspects of the transaction.

SEC Services

As registered members of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, we are experienced professionals who understand the complexities and the regulatory environment of the SEC and all required filings. This includes a thorough understanding of annual audits and quarterly reviews for SEC filings, acquisition audits and reporting as well as registration statements for both initial public offerings and follow-on financing transactions. We are passionate about providing small and mid-size and emerging-growth publicly traded companies’ guidance in navigating the SEC filing process. Our experienced team can also provide preparation and review services prior to auditor involvement to reduce the time and cost of routine SEC reporting.

Reviews and Compilation Services

If you are not required to have an audit of your financial statements, a review or compilation may be an attractive option that can be a valuable tool for your financial reporting needs.

A review is not as extensive as an audit and we do not render an audit opinion on your financial statements. This service offers limited assurance on your financials, which is generally needed when third parties such as investors or banks want some assurance.

A compilation is more basic than a review and is a financial statement presentation based on information provided by management. We do not render an audit opinion and no assurance is provided on whether the financials are fairly presented in accordance with the specified basis of accounting.

We can help you determine if a review or compilation is a sufficient solution other than an audit of your organizations financial statements.
